2 Months Already!

I can't believe how fast time flies when you are a mommy! I'm back to work already, missing my daughter like crazy each day that I am away. It is the most amazing feeling to walk into a house, stressed from a day of work, and see a big smile on your daughter's face as soon as she see's you.

Adrianna is growing so fast! She hit all of her developmental milestones at her two month check up! She now weighes 12 lbs 6 oz and is 22 1/4 inches long. She smiles constantly now and is such a talker (like her mama.) She will chatter away all day. She is learning to sit up by herself with the help of her Bumbo seat - which is a great tool, by the way. If she is supported, she can sit and look around and smile at the world. We got her pictures taken at JC Penneys at the beginning of August (which I am sharing below!) and she was absolutely beautiful!

As for myself, I am the proudest mommy and wife there is! I have started to aggressively try to lose this stubborn weight. I am going to be doing all I can and I ask each of you for support and encouragement. I hope to lose 50 lbs by Christmas by eating healthy and exercising. I'm not only trying to lose weight, I am trying to create a healthy lifestyle for my family.

Cameron is doing okay. This week, we lost his "Uncle" Rex to pancreatic cancer so it has been rough but we are doing what we can to stay positive. He is getting very excited about her Jamaica trip in Novemeber (as I am also!)

As I keep you updated on our lives, I hope you all do as well!
Love, Jessica

She is getting so big!

Six weeks have past since baby Adrianna came into our lives and I cannot believe how the time has flown by! I will be heading back to work in two weeks and I am sure that she will just keep growing without me here to monitor her every waking moment! lol

Sadly, I have had to stop breastfeeding as my body didn't produce enough milk to supply such a hungry baby. She loves her formula, though, and she is sleeping alot longer throughout the night, so I guess there is a silver lining to everything. She has started to smile all the time and she "talks" to us the entire time she is awake - which is a LOT more now! I never knew how AMAZING and AWESOME it was to be a mother. It is such a blessing to have such a wonderful daughter.

Now, to the good stuff: MORE PICTURES! lol

Our Princess Has Arrived!

Adrianna Jo Rust is finally here!
On June 12th, 2008 and 6:52 pm, our lives were blessed when our daughter Adrianna made her appearance into this world. She was 8lbs 50z and 20 1/4 inches long. She had a full head of hair and big, chubby cheeks. Born by c-section, she was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen - even before she was cleaned off! :-)

Cameron is in love with his daughter! For awhile, I didn't know if I would ever be able to hold her because she was always in his arms!

We came home on Sunday and have been enjoying the start of parenthood. Sadly, Adrianna does have jaundice - a common condition for c-section and breastfed babies and we are working like mad to get it under control. We do have to supplement formula as well as take her out in the sun, which she just loves.

Enoughs enough - Let me introduce you to our daughter, Adrianna:

Good morning, all!

I started this blog because I realized that many family and friends do not have Myspace and I wanted to have a place where even those we love from far away can share with us the beautiful experience of becoming first time parents as well as the different obstacles that life throws at us.

I will be posting regularly, but with Adrianna making her appearance in this world quite soon, it may be quieter during the first few weeks. We just want to let you guys know that we love all of you dearly!
